Ever get tired of some insecure men saying things like “Women with muscles look like men? or they're not into the muscle look?
Sure we do. We put in so much hard work, time, and dedication into shaping our bodies into what we see as the ideal physique, and to hear others criticize our progress is disheartening at times.
But here's what I've come to learn: who cares what these boys think?! Weak Men Fear Strong Women (Tradmarked)
The guys who fear muscle on women are the guys who get their asses handed to them in the gym, by men and women alike. You don't like my muscle? Easy solution, stop looking in my direction! If you're not impressed that I am a strong, powerful woman, you don't deserve my time anyway. Keep it pushing buddy.
It took me years of pain and glory to get to where I am, to accomplish the amount of weight that I lift, and to look better than any of your girlfriends ever did or ever will, so why do you think your opinion on MY look matters to me?
I can't even remember how many times some random guy came up to me in the gym and told me I "shouldn't lift that much weight." Or that my body "isn't made for that kind of lifting." Or my all-time favorite: "men don't like women who can out lift them and make them look bad." Really Homie? I don't care what "men want," I am in here for me, myself, and I.
Earlier this year I was told I had "man V's" (shout out to my Optimum Nutrition team mates who know exactly what I'm talking about) - this guy called my V- lines in my lower abdomen, man V's, and that it wasn't sexy. But what this individual failed to see was the hard work, dieting, and commitment I put in in-order to achieve my "Sentual-V" look.
What he also failed to see was the fact that I couldn't care less what he thought. Bottom line ladies, keep lifting, keep making gains, keep doing you and looking good. Forget any negativity stemming from insecure men, and remember, Beauty is A Beast.
